*Position: Performance Tester*

*Location: Indianapolis, IN*

*Duration: 6+ months contract*





*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

·         Responsible for reviewing and/or recommending software performance
application requirements.

·         Create, maintain and run Performance tests.

·         Report application performance issues.

·         Provide recommendations for application performance enhancements and
issue resolution.

·         Provide deep dive analysis of application performance within an Ag
ile SDLC process.

·         Research and implement latest performance testing methodologies and
tools in current testing cycle.

·         Create and maintain performance automation test framework and sc
ripts.

·         Report performance status on product testing, stability, and relea
se readiness to management team.

·         Contribute to GUI and services automated script development and ex
ecution as needed.

·         Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.



*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE*

To  perform  this  job  successfully,  an  individual  must  have  the
following  education  and/or experience:

·    9+ years of benchmark testing, performance analysis, and tuning with ex
perience developing software benchmarks.

·    Visual Studio performance testing experience required.

·    Hands on experience in performance test planning, test case developme
nt, execution and reporting, defect analysis, and metrics within an agile pr
ocess.

·    Basic CodedUI GUI automation experience.

·    .NET unit testing a plus.

·    SOA testing automation (SoapUI, JMS, etc,) a plus.

·    Mortgage industry and/or Financial Services experience is a plus.



*K**NOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*

·    Advanced understanding of the software product release cycles with a
strong understanding of both agile development and agile testing methodolog
ies.

·    Strong knowledge of software testing techniques and methods.

·    Advanced knowledge and experience in developing performance test plans
and specifications.

·    Resource usage monitoring for servers, application servers or databases
.

·    Expert ability to filter and analyze volumes of technical data, perfor
mance results, diagnose and help resolve performance problems.

·    Ability to identify potential limitations in software architectures.

·    Working knowledge of operating system design / tuning (e.g. Linux, Windows
Server).

·    Working knowledge of database tuning and administration (e.g. MS SQL Se
rver).

·    Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Visual Studio Performan
ce).

·    Working knowledge of .NET technology.

·    Proficient coding in most of the following languages: C#, VB and Java.

·    Basic knowledge of Mobile application testing.

·    Expert troubleshooting and reasoning skills

·    Solid written and verbal communication skills.

·    Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.

·    Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external developme
nt partners.

·    Desire to take personal responsibility to complete tasks and solve prob
lems.

·    Ability to perform tasks and complete projects with minimal supe
rvision.
