Direct Client Need... *Title/Role: Senior Java Groovy/Grails Developer*
*Location: Scott's Valley, CA/ Salt Lake City, Utah* *Duration: Contract to Hire* *Primary responsibilities:* · Work with the Business Systems development team to design and develop interactive user interfaces in grails connecting to our internal enterprise services bus via rest. · Work on Agile teams (pair programming, refactoring, story writing and estimation). · Responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs. · Building SaaS applications that provide high-quality and reliable services. · Working with Relational Databases, MVC (Grails), HTML and JavaScript and all the components that provide a functional service from top to bottom. · Designing object models that can talk to a database and diving into stack traces and debugging JavaScript in your browser. · Conceives and develops solutions to engineering programs through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and procedures. · Humble enough to learn from others, confident enough to teach others new things. · Demonstrable interest in learning and adopting new tools and techniques. *Requirements:* ü Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ year’s Groovy on Grails experience or Master’s Degree and 3+ year’s Groovy on Grails experience. ü Experience building SaaS applications that provide high-quality and reliable services. ü Knowledgeable with Relational Databases, MVC (Grails), HTML and JavaScript and all the components that provide a functional service from top to bottom. ü Java/Spring/Hibernate MVC web framework experience. ü Experience with Unit testing (JUnit, Spock). ü Experience working on Agile teams (pair programming, refactoring, story writing and estimation). ü Experience turning requirements into full-stack solutions and supporting them. ü Comfortable designing an object model and talking to a database and diving into stack traces and debugging JavaScript in your browser. ü Excellent communication and collaboration skills. *Preferred Qualifications:* ü Experience with Jboss. ü Automated Functional testing (Selenium) experience. ü JavaScript testing frameworks (QUnit, Jasmine) experience. ü Rich browser-based development (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS) experience. ü Experience working with JavaScript Frameworks (Backbone, AngularJS, Ember, Knockout *Thanks & Regards* *Ash* Oslo Solutions LLC.
