* Business Analysis: * - Must have project delivery experience in gap assessment, requirements gathering and solution design to remediate gaps identified in data, technology, processes in context of trading. Will be interacting and engaging with other people so excellent communication skills are critical * Data Analysis:* - Must be able to query database, write basic SQL queries, and have ability to build new requirements and use the data to validate or invalidate use cases and requirements scenarios * Strong preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in following areas:* - *Trade surveillance and regulatory compliance experience required across SEC, NASD, FINRA & CFTC* - regulations as they relate to compliance rules and typical violations across: conflict of interest, insider trading, market manipulation and identification of deceptive practices - Experience with workflow solutions to drive compliance through rules and case management - Enforcement of information barriers through policies, procedures and controls Prevention of data loss or misuse of sensitive data - Understand information access & policies to control role based security of sensitive data - Understand nuances of compliance requirements by legal entity, jurisdiction (i.e. US – FINRA, NASD/SEC, CFTC, EUROPE – FSA, APAC- JFSA among others) and by asset class. - Familiarity with *Big Data technologies is a plus* - Understand key principals of data management and governance, data quality across trade (transaction) and static data management * Desired Skills and Experience* - 5 - 8+ years of deep experience to lead projects and interface with senior client executives - 4+ years’ experience *Regulatory compliance / trade surveillance* knowledge preferred - *Financial Services Product knowledge *across multiple Product lines, within Trading, Reg. Compliance, - BPI, Auditing and Surveillance - Within the above constituent SME, must haves are: Project management, Business Requirements, Data - Analysis, All aspects of Data Governance, Data Planning, Data Flow Design, Data Quality Analysis, Gap - Analysis, Excel, Excel-Macros, SQL, MS Office Suite - *Nice to Have Skills:* DB Artisan / Rapid SQL, any programming language: Java or any Shell Scripting Language - Experience reviewing/auditing existing surveillance and document potential improvements and controls - Prototyping of proposed surveillance solutions to assess data quality and validate detection logic - Big data development to support BAU and new development; excel analysis on raw data and surveillance inputs to perform scenarios analysis and enhancements to surveillance solution.
