POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for developing, testing,
implementing a translation layer (mapping database to XML) between the two
internal systems within our federal government client.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Define client's objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning
system features and functionality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to inform of system design and
development.
Provide recommendations on tools and system solutions based upon
industry standards and best practices.
Integrate applications by designing database architecture and server
scripting; studying and establishing connectivity within the network
systems.
Ensure the completion of application development by coordinating
schedules, identifying risks and mitigation strategies, contribute to team
meetings, and troubleshoot development and production issues across
multiple environments and operating platforms.
Develop code base documentation and assistance tools, as necessary.
Participate in weekly meetings with internal technical manager to
provide client's work status updates.
