*Title: Senior Product Classification and Taxonomy Specialist* *Location: Mountain View, CA* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Job Summary:* Looking for Senior Ontologist to provide leadership, in the development, management and implementation of Product issues taxonomies, to support improvement of products & user experience. The Ontologist will work collaboratively in cross functional teams to evaluate quality of existing taxonomies, define taxonomy policies and influence our engineering classification efforts. The Ontologist supervises and directs ontology specialists and manages projects requiring substantial intra-organizational coordination. *Job Responsibilities:* · The senior Ontologist will be responsible for evolving, developing, implementing and managing a comprehensive taxonomy and ontology strategy · He/she will work closely with the knowledge architects (Product specialists) and engineers to identify opportunities to improve existing taxonomies using a broad range of analytical tools · He/she will follow standard methodologies to develop and validate new taxonomies and other categorization policies · He/she will create partnerships across the organization, manage individual taxonomy efforts and will evaluate usage patterns of taxonomies to recommend product features and influence the engineering and operational roadmap *Qualifications:* · Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or comparable degree in areas such as information systems, knowledge management, or computer science is required · Minimum 10 years of work experience in information architecture, knowledge management or ontology design · Implementation via knowledge based engineering tools · Extensive Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL server experience · Windows & Unix/Linus experience · Strong communication and presentation skills · Self-starter, results oriented and delivery focused. *Looking forward to hear from you soon.* *Thanks & Regards* *Ash* Oslo Solutions LLC.
