*SAN/Storage ADMINChicago, IL6-12 month contract to startWill hire over the phone. * *They really need someone mid level -4-6 years of exp and Strong EMC SAN and NET APP.* *Job Description:* Principle Storage Administrator for Enterprise Storage team with a focus on support on the enterprise SAN and NAS storage infrastructure. Example - (EMC VMAX, Hitachi VSP, Isilon, Centera, NETAPP, Cisco MDS Series SAN Switches, Brocade Switches) *Primary Responsibilities: * *Requires expertise with the design, configuration, and administration, tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting for SAN and NAS related NFS/CIFS protocol on NetApp and EMC Isilon storage arrays. *Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade SAN and NAS environment. Duties include managing CIFS/NFS shares, maintaining user and group’s quotas, MS Windows and UNIX permissions, and providing monthly usage reports. Familiarity with EMC Celerra and Centera products is a plus. *Lifecycle management on a large scale of all Storage technologies including upgrades, deployments and performance tuning of standard SAN and NAS Storage Infrastructures. *Understand and troubleshoot the SMB, NFS and CIFS shares networking protocols *Play a key role in Business Continuity Planning and DR strategy, ensuring our designs are considered by implementing and maintaining EMC - SRDF, Hitachi Universal Replication (HUR) NetApp - Snap Mirror and Snapshot plus Isilon - SyncIQ and SnapshotIQ technology. *Perform change management and incident management for enterprise storage systems. Coordinate, communicate, and execute maintenance activities, upgrades, and patching for management/monitoring tools. *Generate capacity reports, performance, trending, incident reports and other related items to enable the delivery of required monitoring solutions. *Develop an understanding of project engagement processes (Service Readiness) and partner with project teams on Conditions of Satisfaction deliverables including support documentation. *Provide support for new systems and projects (working with vendors, other platform support teams) and implement the tools to enable the ongoing support. *Regularly identify and implement improvement opportunities *Provide 24x7 IT storage operations support in a team on a rotation and on-call basis.
