Role: Tableau Report Writer/Excel-VBA Developer Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: 6-12 month project, possible extension Interview: Phone Interview Job Description: The Tactical development team is a newly formed group that will provide quick time-to-market tactical tools, scripts and reports in support of research, investment decision support, trading and operational process automation for Fixed Income. The candidate will need to have strong communication and business facing skills, provide hands on contribution and interact directly with Traders, Portfolio Managers and Business Operations staff in documenting requirements and providing solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for the quality of the solution and will be providing support to resolve client identified issues as required. The ideal candidate has a mix of business analysis and technology development skills and is a great team player with a positive work attitude, is self-driven, is flexible, takes initiative, and is passionate about solving complex problems. Requirements: •7+ years of technical expertise in application development and integration with a proven ability and desire to learn new technologies •Strong problem solving skills with ability to apply good judgment identifying risks and recommending solutions •Domain knowledge in Fixed Income Trading, Portfolio Management etc. •Familiarity using tools such as Bloomberg, Barclay's Point, Polypath etc. •Hands-on experience with Windows based build/deployment environments, scripting languages like Powershell. Must be proficient in at least one of the following: •Advanced knowledge of building Excel/VBA applications, Macro development, and strong SQL/database skills •Advanced knowledge of building ad-hoc reports, Tableau based reports, strong SQL skills for writing data import/export routines using Bloomberg, Barclays Point and other financial data sources.
