*Role:* Data Modeler
*Duration:* 12+ months or longer
*Location:* NYC, NY 10065
*Summary:*
Someone who has *strong data modelling* experience in an *OLAP/Dimensional
modeling* environment that also has strong knowledge of *SAP transactions
in ECC6*.
· The *BI Modelling* is more important than BW or Hana
experience.
· They are not using BW
· Experience as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Modeler, and
ETL developer especially in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
applications
· Good understanding of SAP R/3 and ECC 6.0 System and considerable
experience in SAP BI, documenting, design and Analysis of reports
· Good knowledge in business processes across various SAP
functional modules like *MM, SD, AFS* modules
· Experience in Designing the Data models for OLTP & OLAP database
system and created DDL scripts for implementing Data Modeling changes
· Working understanding of the *Data modeling* *(Dimensional &
Relational)* concepts like Star-Schema Modeling, Snowflake Schema Modeling,
Fact and Dimension tables
· Experience in conducting Joint Application Development (JAD)
sessions with the stakeholders, business users, and SME’s to obtain domain
level information of projects
· Experience in developing Conceptual, Logical and Physical models
using ERWIN and ER Studio.
· Working understanding in transactional (OLTP) data and design
model for OLAP methodology for several BI tools like MicroStrategy,
Informatica, Cognos
· Extensive projects experience in *Data Modeling, System/Data
Analysis, Design and Development for both OLTP and Data warehousing
environments*
· Experience in writing complex SQL for data analysis and
comparisons
· Strong working experience in Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) design.
· Experience in writing Data Transformation and Data Cleansing
rules for Data Mapping documents in Data Warehouse projects.
· Involve in the maintenance of models, loading models to Metadata
Repository
· Good Knowledge in SQL for Data Analysis and Data Profiling
· Strong knowledge of Dimensional Modeling, Star and Snowflake
schema. Design Fact and Dimension Tables as per the reporting requirements
and ease of future enhancements
· Practical Data analysis skills including Data mapping from source
to target database schemas, Data Cleansing and processing, writing data
extract scripts/programming of data conversion and researching
complex data problems.
· Extensive experience in Relational and Dimensional Data modeling
for creating Logical and Physical Design of Database and ER Diagrams using
multiple data modeling tools like MS Visio and Erwin.
· Experience working with ETL/BI teams to develop source-target
mappings and document the business requirements in a SAP environment
· Working experience of Relational Database like SQL Server,
Oracle, Teradata and MS-Access.
· Should be motivated learner, sincere, disciplined team player
having excellent communication and interpersonal skills complemented by a
high degree of initiative and optimism when faced with challenges
· Proven experience on several BI projects using ETL tools like
MicroStrategy, Informatica Data Transformation (DT), Data Exchange,
Informatica Power center on Windows and UNIX platforms.
· Troubleshooting SQL statements within the ETL process flows
