Skills · 10 + years of Oracle DBA experience Degree in computer science related field or equivalent work experience · 5+ years’ experience as Oracle Applications (e-Business) DBA · Proficiency in OEM, backup and recovery techniques · Oracle Application Server exposure (Forms, Reporting, and Apache Webservers Configuring and Tuning) · Experience with multiple hardware environments (Linux, Solaris, HPUX) · Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM Storage, RMAN, AD Utilities, Rapid Clone, Autoconfig, FNDLOAD · Expertise with Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g. Experience with upgrading to 11g. · Understanding of Java, Oracle Application Framework, and J2EE Framework · Familiarity with tools – OEM, Toad, SFTP, RMAN · Expert in SQL and PL/SQL, strong Unix shell scripting skills · Excellent Troubleshooting skills · Administering and migrating changes to Oracle Forms/Reports, Personalization’s, Flex fields, Value Sets, Alerts, Discoverer · Ability to diagnose problems and resolve issues across various tiers (application, database, network, server and storage) · Self-motivated with a strong capacity for finding creative solutions. Works well with peers to collaboratively find solutions. · Excellent communication skills. Job Responsibilities · Configure and maintain database and middle-tier in multiple development, test and production environments. · Clone and patch Oracle e-Business 11i and 12.1 environments. · Configuration, troubleshooting and monitoring of Concurrent Manager, Workflow, Interfaces, OAF, Oracle iAS, Apache, OC4J/JVM. · Maintain security at the database and application level. · Troubleshoot performance and space management issues. · Support browser and Java issues between end user and Oracle e-Business components. · Incident management through ticketing system. · Provide 2nd tier production support and be available for rotating 24x7 on call support. · Participate in problem resolution and system enhancements. · Work closely with developers to deploy program and configuration changes to Oracle production environment. · Need to be able to work closely with vendors,application development, business users · Analyze database performance, review Oracle performance reports and provide tuning recommendations · Documents the database environments and architectures. · Review storage growth trends and plan future storage requirements for the databases · Implementing and managing best practices for object migration and system security · Ensuring SOX compliance and satisfying audit requirements · For EBS applications, printer management and monitoring workflow activities · Installation, configuration, patching of database environments · Integrating EBS with 3rd party software such as Vertex, Amex, Essbase, etc. · Mentoring DBAs and developers Key Skills: Oracle EBS Application DBA Thanks & Regards, Sony Singh E-Solutions Inc 2 N.
