Any type of automation tool (i.e. Selenium, Cucumber, Rspec, Ruby, etc…) experience is ok. * *Candidate must be local to Chicago (will require F2F interview). * *Looking for a Mid-Senior level person with 5+ years of experience. * A financial client of ours in Chicago is looking to bring on a sharp QA Automation Engineer with strong automation skills. This individual will be able to pick-up and learn new technologies quickly. - Serve as QA role on a cross-functional, agile team. - Work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts and developers - Confirm user stories acceptance criteria and generate test cases - Design, develop and maintain test scripts using automated testing tools. - Identify areas of product/project risk - Take initiative to learn business processes and evaluate testing needs/risks based on business priorities. - Conduct exploratory testing. - Work closely with developers to assess and plan for handling defects. - Contribute to developing and maintaining an automated build and test system. - Produce system documentation as necessary. - Collaborate with external development groups and vendors. - Experience on teams with/following agile/lean values/principles. - Experience writing automated black box and GUI tests, designing tests to mitigate risks, and helping business experts define requirements. - Experience testing web-based applications. - Experience testing APIs. - Experience writing simple SQL queries and insert/update statements and basic grasp of relational databases. - At least one year of experience with some scripting or programming language and/or open source test tools. - Ability to use basic Unix commands. - Familiar with XML and/or JSON formats. - Experience collaborating with developers and subject matter experts. - Experience in context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing a plus. - Ability to work as part of a self-organizing team in which you determine your tasks on a daily basis in coordination with coworkers rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you. - Experience and/or willingness to learn what it means to work in a regulated industry, and work with the business to maintain legal and regulatory compliance across our systems and processes. * Experience Desired:* - Open source testing tools and frameworks - RSpec - Cucumber - Selenium Webdriver - TestNG Framework for Validation and End to End testing - Ruby Restfull API for testing webservices *Waiting for your response…* Best Regards *Ravi Nigam* 978-558-4666 EXT 101 *TekNavigators* 8875 Hidden River Parkway Suite 300 Tampa, FL 33637 DISCLAIMER: This message and any attachments are solely for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged or confidential.
