*Contract 7+ months * *US Citizens Only* The Database Administrator (DBA) is a member of the Oracle Business Systems (OBS) DBA Team responsible for the management of internal customer databases. *Service delivery key areas: * • Plan database memory and disk requirements and request host resources accordingly. • Respond to capacity alerts, analyze and take corrective action to allow for sustained business processing. • Management of housekeeping jobs (i.e. rotation / compression of system logs, etc.). • Data archival. • Plan database processing requirements and request host resources accordingly. • Respond to performance alerts, analyze and tune databases where required. Advise on corrective action for poorly performing SQL. • Management of performance maintenance jobs. • Review all new applicable patches when released and patch where required. • Respond to bugs encountered. Undertake patching and testing. • Perform in-house security audits and address vulnerabilities where required. • Perform on-demand security audits. • Creation of database accounts to client's standard. • Creation of databases to client's standard. • Respond to security alerts and address where required. • Non-production database and data refreshes. • Respond to alerts associated with business continuity (i.e. block corruption, configuration, hung database, etc.). • Database installation and configuration • Database migrations to new hardware. • Transition of new systems into production. • Disaster recovery testing. • Disaster recovery implementations. • Management of database backup infrastructure. • Management of monitoring infrastructure. • Management of asset tracking through the Configuration Management Database. • Object and data migrations to production. • Plan, recommend and action upgrade strategy to adhere to vendor support conditions. • Documentation of policies, procedures and work instructions. • Participate in the delivery of service to all clients outside of normal working hours. • Participate in a standby capacity to provide escalation assistance where required. • Perform all work assigned in accordance with client SLAs and Managed Services management priorities. • Participate in the training plan arranged by the Team Leader. • Demonstrate self-motivation in managing self-training initiatives. *Skills, qualifications and experiences: * • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Oracle • Skilled UNIX shell scripting • Skilled in PL/SQL • UNIX Administration skills • Formal training in database theory • IT degree from a recognized institution • Experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c – Database Administration • Experience with Oracle RMAN • Experience with Oracle Data Pump Import and Export • Experience with Oracle AMM • Experience with Oracle ADR • Experience with Oracle OEM 12c • Experience with Oracle 12c Multitenancy CDB and PDB concepts • Experience with Oracle technologies • Experience with NetBackup technology *Thanks & Regards* *Abdul Wasim* *224-636-8715* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Workflow" group.
