*Role: SAP Basis Admin with Mainframe Experience* *Locations: *NYC, NY *Duration: *6+ month The following are preferred skills sets to be added to the list: Exposure to DB2 on Z/OS or IBM Main frame. Exposure to IBM Mainframe LPAR/VMs Experience converting Third party Java to SAP Java. Experience with SAP Web dispatcher. Experience with Open Text.(running on HA) Experience with SAP upgrade Experience with SAP High Availability *MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:* Expert level experience in Java Administration, SAP Enterprise Portals, XI/PI and Java engine related SAP applications 6+ years experience SAP Basis administration. Experience with at least 3 full SAP implementations, well versed in new SAP installs, system copies, support packages, SSL certificates, TMS , client strategy a nd maintenance, system performance tuning, database and operating system administration. This applicant should be one who can thrive in a fast- paced, team environment, while excelling in solo operations. He/she should also possess excellent problem resolution skills in addition to good written and oral communication dexterity. - A sound technical background in SAP BASIS administration ( recommended 5+ years SAP Basis administration) with at least 1+ years in a team lead or management r ole. Candidate should have had a leadership role in at least one implementation or ‘go-live’ - Hands-on production system support administration experience for typical SAP environments such as ECC 5.0/ Netweaver Abap/Java stack products (ECC, BI, SRM, SCM, Portal, Solution Manager and others) AIX UNIX/zLinux System Administration and Windows Server Administration Database Administration (DB2 9.x and 10.x). O racle DB experience a plus - Experience with SAP ECC 6.0, Solution Manager, and Enterprise Portals in zLinux environment. - Experience in Performance tuning Java engine. ( Configuring Heap size, thread size, JVM parameters, etc.) - Experience in using Solution Manager for overall system monitoring and CCMS. - Experience in landscape management, transports, printer setups, hand held device configuration and troubleshooting, etc. - Experience with SAP security tasks like Create/Maintain User Roles and Authorizations. - Work closely with the other Vendors within the client organization to ensure that the database and zLinux are performing optimally. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Work in a team environment and lead by example. - Planning team task allocation and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of metrics including team time reporting, utilization and any other relevant informat ion. - Produce SLA and project status reports for clients. - Taking ownership and responsibilities of client systems, not just specific tasks. - Provide leadership in problem determination and resolution, software patching, database management, performance tuning and project sizing. - Planning for contingencies among staff on various projects. - Creating incident reports and root cause analysis. - Instilling a sense of being client focused rather than task focused within the team. - Staff Review and evaluation. - Resolving conflicts within the team and between on-shore and off-shore team. - Take on full responsibility and ownership for assigned SAP Systems. - Provide guidance to instill a sense of proactive system performance tuning and monitoring within the team. - Providing on-call support after regular hours and on weekends on a rotation basis as determined by client support needs. - Hands-on management, build competency and help in the management of the off-shore team. - Support multiple projects on multiple accounts. - Manage, monitor, and keep a track of backups and recoveries as instructed and assist in technical disaster recovery simulations. - Manage, monitor, and keep a track of SAP Support Pack, Kernel Upgrade, OSS note application, Client and System Copies, System refreshes, Abap dumps, SAP lock/ update management. - Perform SAP upgrades and new implementations as and when required. *LI-JH1 *Thank You &* *Let's Stay In Touch...* *Ashutosh* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Workflow" group.
