*Job Description: *

Our large government client is looking for an SLM expert to design and
implement a Service Level Management (SLM) program, including charter,
roles and responsibilities, processes and templates to ensure that an
agreed upon level of IT service is provided for all current IT services,
and that future services are delivered to agreed achievable targets. The
Service Level Management (SLM) program will be defining, establishing,
monitoring, and optimizing service quality and service levels of services
agreed with the customer.

This will be a multi-phased effort with the program approach, charter,
schedule, roles and responsibilities and communications plan due by the end
of 2015. Additionally, interim Service Level Agreements need to be
developed for three work areas by the end of 2015. There is an opportunity
for extension into 2016.



*Responsibilities include:*

·         Designs, documents and implements the Service Level Management
process, policies, rules and guidelines.

·         Establish a repeatable process and templates for the development
and maintenance of a Service Catalog and associated Operating Level
Agreements and/or Service Level Agreements

·         Establish a Service Review process; planning, organizing and
facilitating recurring meetings

·         Utilizing relationship management competency, collaborate with
multiple service owners to facilitate effective issue resolution

·         Document the workflow and "touchpoints" between the various
service providers

·         Develop and maintain service delivery plans (including budgets,
processes, tools, staffing and charging mechanisms)

·         Mentor to junior staff



*Required Skills: *

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems,
business administration or other related field

·         ITIL certification for service management, preferably at the
Master’s level

·         5 – 10 years of IT work experience and 3 – 5 years in ITIL
service management processes



*Desired Skills: *

·         Experience in government or the public sector preferred

·         Project management experience
