We have below requirement for one of our client, please let me know if you have any suitable consultant. *Title: **Lead Python/Git Developer * *Duration: **1 year plus* Location: *Raleigh/Durham, NC.* Experienced Software Engineer, to lead a team in the design, development and support of an enterprise scale global Git-based version control solution. The ideal candidate will have extensive Python development experience and have led the implementation and integration and operation of enterprise scale solutions. In addition, the candidate should must demonstrate a good understanding of Linux administration and have experience customizing and managing large scale Version Control Systems. This is an opportunity to join a fun team to provide a modern tool environment for one of the largest technology companies in the country. *Roles and Responsibilities:* · Lead team of developers in building and managing a Git-based version control platform · Provide Python and Git subject matter expertise and mentoring to team members, other engineers and business stakeholders · Identify opportunities to evolve the CI/CD workflow by working closely with engineers from other teams to understand current environment, tools, technologies and practices · Research, implement, pilot and manage tools and integrations to increase the effectiveness of our clients · Work with team to troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues *Required Skills and Experience:* · 5+ years of software development with a *minimum 3+ years’ hands-on experience using Python* · Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, configuration and management of large scale version control systems (Git preferred, or Mercurial) · *3+ years of Linux (RHEL) administration* and troubleshooting · Experience leading a team and mentoring junior engineers and developers · Strong oral and written communication skills · Ability to execute with minimal supervision *·* *BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) * *Additional preferred skills and knowledge:* · Understanding of networking (DNS, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP) · Understanding the Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle · Understanding of Java, JavaScript and scripting languages (Perl, Bash) · Knowledge and experience with DevOps tools to support Continuous Integration/Delivery such as: o Monitoring (ie.Nagios, Sensu) o Configuration management (ie Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt Stack) o Continuous Integration/Build (ie Jenkins, Bamboo, Maven) o Artifact management (ie Artifactory, Nexus) · Experience configuring load-balancers and scaling applications for the enterprise. · LAMP stack development background.
