*Sr. Tableau Developer with SQL Scripting Experience!Downtown Chicago, IL 4+ months contractJob Description:* The Sr Tableau Developer will acquire a thorough knowledge of industry standard Business Intelligence tool Tableau. The Developer will also understand and integrate with the Enterprise Data Warehouse. The role requires Root Cause Analysis, developing solutions/recommendations and presenting to Sr. Leadership including query data from relational databases (Teradata, MS SQL server) Responsibilities Develop reporting solutions for a wide variety of business intelligence data warehouse projects Communicate directly with other data warehouse team members including business analysts, data modelers, business users, and developers to confirm requirements and clarify business rules Responsible for extracting data from multiple sources, manipulating data/data validation, conducting Root Cause Analysis, developing solutions/recommendations and presenting to Sr. Leadership *Involved in Trouble Shooting, Performance tuning of reports and resolving issues with in Tableau Server and Reports. *In-depth knowledge on Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. *Extensive Tableau Experience in Enterprise Environment and Tableau Administrator *Experience including technical support, troubleshooting, report design and monitoring of system usage. *The ability to design and deploy rich Graphic visualizations with Drill Down and Drop down menu option and Parameterized using Tableau. *Established Best Practices for Enterprise Tableau Environment and application intake and development processes. *Query data from relational databases (Teradata, MS SQL server) *Ability to perform data validation, analysis and modeling (Root Cause Analysis, Behavioral Analysis) *Develop Executive Level presentations and present complex, customized analytic findings to senior management *Create and distribute high level business performance reporting *Build cross functional relationships to drive strategic discussions and continuous improvement *5 years knowledge, or experience working with SAS or other Statistical analysis tools *2+ years of experience in a hands-on analytical role, with focus on Root Cause Analysis and Behavioral Analysis *Experience with database design, dimensional modeling, data warehouse, business intelligence/analytic tools Excellent proven experience with Oracle, Teradata DBMS systems *5 years hands-on experience in accessing (Data Mining) and manipulating data from multiple relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, MS-SQL server) *Experience with agile, scrum, iterative, or waterfall development/project methodologies *3+ years SQL script writing experience proficient in SQL – Query development and performance improvements Experience in statistical analytics and statistical tools (SAS, R, or other) preferred Experience in doing data analysis and profiling Knowledge of ETL and Data integration a plus Exposure to data modeling, predictive analytics, and forecasting techniques a plus.
