Also, please respond to this email with your most recent resume as well…sometimes my VMs pile up and this job is top priority. *Database Analyst Center City Philadelphia, PA 6-12+ Months Contract Client: Comcast Job Description: *The ideal candidate for this position will be a hybrid between a classic data analyst and DBA/Engineer. The prime responsibility will be to identify the disparate databases/datasets in use across the department and then working toward consolidating the structures and data into a consistent model. The challenge will be in first identifying the data sources, then analyzing the structures and determine what may be missing/in-congruent within the organization, creating plans and then implementing one or more projects to consolidate the data into a data warehouse-like repository. The candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills as they will be charged with working with external teams to make changes to their databases to bring them in line with the program. The candidate will need to have strong database related analysis skills and experience (wide variety of RDBMS - Oracle, SQL Server, MySql, etc..) as well as some database DBA or Engineer). Ideally they will also have some telecom experience with a basic understanding of the domain.
