*Job Title: IBM WebSphere Portal Architect*
Location: Charlotte, NC OR Rockville, MD Duration: 18 Months Contract-to-Hire Billing Rate: $DOE/Hour *Summary:* 1. Position will report to the chief architect of the institutional retirement group within Wealth, Brokerage, and Retirement. 2. Primary responsibilities include creation of architecture deliverables for many key projects leveraging Mobile, Web, and Batch technologies. 3. Conducts complex technology and system assessments for component architecture, participates in the strategic technology planning and the development of Living Target Architectures. 4. Possesses expert level knowledge of web technologies, SOA, JAVA, and UML. 5. Significant experience with JEE architecture and Infrastructure. 6. Experience with all aspects of application lifecycle technologies and tools – including development, testing, and QA, continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring. 7. Capable of working closely with Environment and Infrastructure, Infrastructure Architecture, Enterprise Infrastructure, and Dev-Ops team. 8. Provides in-depth technical and systems consultation to internal clients and technical management to ensure alignment with target architecture. *Required Skills:* 1. 15+ years experience as an IT professional with 5 plus years as a systems or solutions architect. 2. 7+ years experience in design and planning experience in systems application, or IT Architecture. 3. Application and Web Servers: IBM WebSphere, IBM Portal, WebLogic, Oracle application server…are a MUST!!! 4. Demonstrated ability to influence management on technical or business solutions. 5. Demonstrated wide application of technical principals, practices, and procedures to multiple applications or a component family. 6. Highly proficient in the documentation of solution architecture and design. 7. Demonstrated expertise in product evaluation and selection recommendation 8. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with demonstrated experience influencing IT leadership. 9. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field. 10. Solid experience of JEE and SOA Development Experience.
