*Title: Salesforce Developer* * Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 12 Months Description * In this position you will collaborate with other team members to architect, design, and implement proactive tooling that identifies poorly implemented customer architectures and engages appropriate teams to resolve customer issues. You will be building new technology our customers will love, while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable. As part of the team, you will: Learn our development process, culture and code base. Value team excellence over individual productivity. Have a passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well. Present your own designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others. Adopt, embrace, and promote agile and test-driven practices with your peers. Develop test classes to guarantee quality development work. Contribute to the analysis of functional requirements. Build functional and technical design documentation. *Ongoing Projects * You will work with our team to architect, design, and implement: A proactive notification system that alerts customers to issues with their implementation of Salesforce and points the customer to the knowledge they need to fix them An internal web / mobile application that gives our sales and support staff advanced technical information to help them better assess deals and design architectures for customer success A tracker application to provide analytics to help improve our core product and assess the impact of proactive outreach strategies and content *Required Experience/Skills * Strong track record of being a top performer. Deep understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts, and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C#, C++. Solid understanding of web technologies, such as HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS). Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases. Excellent writing skills and experience writing functional and technical designs for development projects. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. *Desired Experience/Skills * Salesforce platform technologies such as Apex and Visualforce. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. Building highly scalable web applications. Agile software development and test-driven development.
