Position: Network Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Elmwood Park, NJ

Duration: 12 month



Must have *E**xtreme Networks Router and Switches* experience


For those who don’t know, Extreme Networks is a company out of CA who has
their own Routers and Switches. That skill is needed for this position.



I have a 12 month plus contract open for a Network Infrastructure
Specialist working onsite in Elmwood Park, NJ. This company is looking for
someone with *Extreme Networks Router and Switches* experience. They will
NOT consider or speak with anyone who has not worked on Extreme products.
Also must have BGP and OSPF routing protocols experience.



*All the rest of the technical skills listed below are a plus. The only
must haves are the Extreme Networks Router and Switches, BGP and OSPF.

*Responsibilities: *

   - Project and 2nd Level support for the entire Corporate Network
   Infrastructure
   - Ability to bring new ideas and secure design deployments in all areas
   of expertise
   - Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
   - Configure, design and troubleshoot Corporate network devices at
   multiple locations
   - Reduce single points of failure in the server environment
   - Contribute to BRLI's Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery
   efforts
   - Strong Project Management skills
   - Responsible for day-to-day network operations
   - Experience with network monitoring tools

      - Blue Coat – Secure Web Gateway, SSL Visibility Appliance, DLP
      - FireMon
      - Fire Eye
      - SIEM Log Rhythm
      - Impervia Web Application Firewall (WAF)
      - File Integrity Manager (FIM)
      - FogLight, Fluke Visual Truview and/or Solarwinds Orion
      - Internet/DMZ Technologies
      - Remote Access solution using Pulse Secure MAG devices for SSL VPN

 *IT Operations*

   - Captures all events that negatively impact the business via the
   internal Incident Report mechanism
   - Ensures all changes are captured through Change Control
   - Update software levels (major releases) within 6 months of vendor GA
   release
   - Update software levels (minor releases) within 3 months of vendor GA
   release
   - Possess the ability to communicate with and understand the needs of
   non-technical users and clients
   - Produce bi-weekly notes to communicate status of projects and
   initiatives



*IT Security*

   - Adhere to the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability model (CIA)
   -  Ensure all sensitive Information remains protected
   - Adhere and enforce compliance guidelines i.e., Corporate, Departmental
   - Ensure security policies and internal guidelines are adhered to
   - Data Classification and Network Segmentation
   - Review semi-annual certification of the security authorization file
   for networking devices
   - Review vendor access by enforcing pre-established policies and
   procedures for logging activity and enabling/disabling access to system
   resources
   - Perform Internal/External Vulnerability Scanning
   - Lockdown and document exceptions found in the Vulnerability management
   reports
   - Manage the Network Infrastructure of the Web hosting facilities
   - Familiar with HIPAA, PCI, NIST, ISO, SANS, ITIL, COBIT, COSO,SOXS,
   Security frameworks & CIS benchmarks

*Audit Requirements:*

   - Management and implementation of compliance/audit based controls as
   per

       direction of management leading to positive audit results

   - Adhere and enforce compliance guidelines i.e., HIPAA, PCI, & Sarbanes
   Oxley
   -  Ensure all Patient Health Information, Credit Card, and Financial
   information

      remains protected

   -  Support Audit Compliance – HIPAA, State, CAP & CLIA, Sarbanes Oxley
