*Title : Sr. Oracle DBA (With Oracle 12c Upgrade Expertise) – DB Migration Expertise*
*Location : Los Angeles, CA* *Duration : 6 Months plus* *Description:* · 10 years of extensive and broad based experience in the design, administration, programming and support of Oracle databases on RHEL with in depth experience in Oracle 10g/Oracle 11g/Oracle 12c. · Must have working experience with Oracle 12c – Multi-tenant, in-memory and Partitioning options in 12c. · Hands on experience in database upgrade/migration projects – especially from Oracle 10g/11g to Oracle 12c. · Experience in consolidating and virtualizing the environments. · Expertise in database performance monitoring and tuning including probing the PL/SQL code. · Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (Grid Control), Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC), ASM and Oracle Goldengate/Active Data guard tools. · Experience in upgrading and patching the databases to the latest, as per the vendor specifications. · Experience in supporting databases in both OLTP and Data Warehousing environments. · Ability to work with the System Administrators on the storage and network related issues. · Experience in capacity planning of the systems. · Act as Oracle Database subject matter expert for business leaders, end users and IT staff in the areas of application architecture and implementation. · Thorough knowledge of Oracle database concepts/design/deployment, recovery techniques, performance monitoring and tuning, SQL and PL/SQL. · Experience in implementing Data encryption, masking and audit procedures. · Experience in reviewing application performance metrics and proactively addressing performance concerns. · Experience in resource planning / management and source control. · Experience in building and maintaining DEV, QA UAT, STAGING and PROD and Disaster Recovery environments. · Experience in troubleshooting issues and quickly resolve them in an efficient manner that minimizes downtime. · A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills. Must have a service-oriented attitude with excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and highly focused are required. · Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
