Our client in Minneapolis, MN has a long contract need for a *iOS Developer with Xamarin* experience. This is a 6+ month contract, or CTH, Direct hire and the candidate must be onsite. OPEN TO NON LOCAL. Our growing, Minneapolis based, client is looking to add an *iOS Developer* to their growing team. This developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of *iOS devices* including *mobile phones and tablet computers*. Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications to support both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for owning each application from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, launch and post go-live support. *Responsibilities* - Design and build new *native mobile applications* for the *iOS platform* - Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications - Collaborate with business and IT teams to define, design, develop and launch new features - Identify and correct bottlenecks and *fix bugs* - Help maintain *code quality, organization, and automatization* - Support the business with other *ad hoc development* needs *Qualifications* - 5+ years of experience in application development with 2+ years of experience in *iOS mobile application development.* - Experience with *iOS frameworks* such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc. - Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning - Familiarity with *RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications* to back-end services - Strong understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines - Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred - Experience using tools such as *Xamarin *to write native iOS, Android or Windows apps with native user interfaces and share code across multiple platforms. - 3+ years of experience with *C#* and *Visual Studio* highly preferred - Familiarity with *cloud message APIs* and push notifications - Knack for benchmarking and optimization - Resourceful and willing to learn new technology - Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics or a technical field (such as CIS or IT) from a four-year college or university.
