ETL QA Roseland, NJ 6 Months Contract *Phone the F2F* This role specifically calls for a skilled testing individual to define ETL testing processes and validate business rules and policies relating to data and data transformations. Specifically - you will: • Understand data models and ETL flow. • Validate data from source data files through each step of the extract and transformation process including final load in the data warehouse. • Develop and review test plans and test scripts for these tests/validations. • Ensure accurate data and reporting, in terms of content and infrastructure by researching and identifying source of errors. • Write SQL scripts (PL/SQL) to extract data from various databases and systems and compare against data warehouse. • Perform root cause and trend analysis to identify recurring patterns for errors. • Ensure data standards/integrity are maintained in order to deliver high quality data products. • Develop and automate integration, functional, and system test scripts. • Present the findings to project stakeholders. *The qualified candidate should the following experience/qualifications:* Experience in large scale data warehouse projects Solid understanding of data architecture and ETL workflows Strong SQL analysis skills with experience writing simple to complex SQL queries Exposure to big data testing, Kafka and Spark streaming Knowledge in Java & Informatica preferable, but not required Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills Experience with working on Agile/Scrum method of product implementation and delivery *Daily responsibilities: * *Testing and validation of ETL* flows and data transformations, data validation, and developing of test cases/test scripts. Required skills: Solid knowledge of data architecture and ETL workflows Strong SQL Analysis skills with experience writing simple to complex SQL queries (PL/SQL and some T-SQL...mainly PL/SQL).
