Malden, MA 9 months + *Phone/In-Person interview process* ODI Role *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* *Strategy & Planning* 1. Create short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall data management roadmap. 2. Assist with assessing and determining governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organization. 3. Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement. 4. Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks. 5. Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data integration standards in conjunction with data users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders. *Operational Management* 1. Develop integration process data flows and data mapping analyses. 2. Address data-related problems in regards to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration. 3. Develop and promote data integration methodologies and standards. 4. Act as an advocate of data integration and management, including coaching, training, and career development to staff. 5. Develop and implement key components as needed to create testing criteria in order to guarantee the fidelity and performance of data architecture. 6. Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement of systems. *Required Experience* 1. 4-7 years Oracle ODI experience including experience with *ODI 12c.* 2. 4-7 years overall experience in Data Integration, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and implementation. 3. 4-7 years of full lifecycle data warehousing experience. 4. In depth hands-on knowledge of ODI 11g including performance monitoring and tuning 5. In depth hands-on knowledge of Oracle 11g database performance monitoring and tuning 6. In depth hands-on experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting ETL/ELT processes 7. Knowledge of relational database designs and concepts including normalization and dimensional models 8. Knowledge of web services and XML at the level of using ODI to interface with pre-existing web services as data sources and/or targets. 9. Experience with Oracle RAC on RHEL 6 platform preferably an Exadata platform 10. Ability to coordinate and work with network team and other system administration groups to isolate resource bottlenecks (bandwidth/network, cpu, memory, disk/storage) 11. Experience reading and evaluating Oracle SQL and using the Oracle Explain Plan feature 12. Desired familiarity with IBM Cognos in terms of its use and interaction with Oracle (e.g. building cubes, creating extracts, running queries and reports submitted via Cognos) 13. Familiarity with student academic performance data and education data concepts 14. Experience in Installation, configuration and migration of ODI versions 15. Ability to develop ODI knowledge modules for checking, loading, and integration. 16. Experience in resolving ODI and database related data loading performance issues. 17. Implementation of ODI interfaces and scenarios for extracting and loading data from a variety of data sources/targets including, Relational Database Management servers (including Oracle RDBMS, flat files (including CSV, Excel, & XML file formats), and web services (SOAP, WS-I Security). 18. Experience with Set up, configuring and administration of ODI according to requirements. 19. BI knowledge a requirement – 3-5 years in BI from ETL perspective. 20. Design experience of the detailed ETL architecture, including agents, scenarios, packages, data mapping, data extractions, transformations and validations. This ETL design and implementation should include stand-alone and Java EE agents, ODI data services, ODI Console, ODI studio, and other appropriate development tools. 21. Ability to observe steps and ascertain success of step or failure and root cause of step(s). 22. Experience in Master Data Management and Meta Data Management. 23. Experience in Dimensional Modeling. 24. Demonstrated ability to communicate the overall customer data architecture to both technical and business constituencies. 25. Creating Interfaces in order to move data from source to target. 26. Assist infrastructure personnel in implementing the ODI migration process to migrate the ODI configuration through various development, test, and production environments. 27. Develop system /integration test plans and scenarios for data loads and extracts. 28. Manage and monitor production and non-production ETL sessions. 29.
