Position: Network/Windows *Security *Engineer (Hands-on)
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 1 yr or longer
Note: *Must be local in New York/New Jersey/Connecticut areas or someone
who is willing to drive to work within the 40 miles radius of New York
City.*
Our client, a financial services firm located in New York, NY is looking
for a hands-on *Network/Windows Security as a consultant.*
Responsible for implementing and supporting all aspects of the *corporate
information security infrastructure and ensuring the availability,
integrity, and confidentiality of all corporate assets and data.*
*Job Requirements and Qualifications:*
· Minimum 5 years of experience as an Enterprise Security Engineer
(hands-on).
· *Experience installing, configuring, hardening, and managing
firewalls, VPNs, proxies, HIPS/NIPS, SIEM, NAC, NBA, DLP, AV, PKI, MDM,
multi-factor* authentication, auditing software, and password management.
· *Experienced securing Windows/Active Directory*
· *Proficient in firewall, IPS, anti virus , anti malware.*
· Experience with applying security best practices to network
switches and routers, telephony, wireless infrastructure, virtual
infrastructure, storage, servers, desktops, and enterprise applications
(IIS, Exchange, SQL, Oracle, Active Directory, SharePoint, etc.).
· Experience with performing compliance, audit, and vulnerability
assessments and using the associated tools.
· *Strong knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, IPsec, DNS, DHCP,
HTTP, and TLS as well as routers.*
· Strong communication and documentation skills.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects concurrently to
meet deadlines.
· Bachelor Degree preferred in Computer Science or IT related field
or equivalent experience.
*Desired Skills*
· Any information security certification, including any GIAC
certification, CISSP, CWNP, MCSE, CCNA CCNP or CCIE Security.
· Experience securing VoIP, HSRP, BGP, VRRP, OSPF, EIGRP,
Multicast, SSH, RDP, SMTP, FCoE, iSCSI, NFS, or CIFS.
· Experience managing hardware or software from as many of the
following vendors: HP, Check Point, Cisco, Juniper, RSA, Blue Coat,
Microsoft, Apple, VMware, McAfee, Blackberry, and Symantec.
· Experience or certification in incident response.
· Mobile device management or mobile application management
experience.
· Knowledge of government and compliance regulations that apply to
financial firms.
· Prior financial services background.

*Location: Chicago, IL*
*Duration: 12 months or longer*
*Note: Must be local in Chicago, IL or someone who is willing to drive to
work within the 40 miles radius or someone whose family is willing to
relocate to Chicago, IL .*
Our client, a financial services firm based in Chicago, IL is looking for a
Database Administrator as a consultant.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Oracle Administrator in a
multi-node UNIX and Windows environment with the ability to diagnose and
troubleshoot database and system problems.
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle11g database systems and administration
practices including RMAN, partitioning and Data Vault.
- Minimum of *4 yrs experience in* *MS SQL or 2 years* in Sybase
database administration.
- Must have experience in performance and tuning, trouble shooting
performance issues.
- Experienced in writing *Korn Shell*, PERL, and SQL languages
- Should be familiar with Solaris, Linux, Notes, Microsoft and CA
Technologies products
- At least, must have Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study
relevant to the position
Plusses:
- Working knowledge of SYBASE ASE15 systems and administration
practices, including Replication Server15 and Sybase IQ15
- Working knowledge of Microsoft’s SQL Server2008R2 and SQL2012,
including replication and mirroring.
- Knowledge of Autosys and Opswise workload automation software
- Knowledge of financial business environments.
