*POSITION DESCRIPTION:*
The Senior Principal Technical Analyst (Enterprise Solution Architect) role
is responsible for leading delivery team architects and teams through
business, process, and technology strategy definition and related roadmaps.
This role works with enterprise, data, and solution architects, business
partners, and external service providers to ensure new capabilities align
with stated architecture strategies and our client’s standards and delivery
capabilities. This role also mentors our client’s other employees to
develop architecture and structure strategic planning and subject matter
expertise. Key deliverables include:
- Architecture Definition Document (completed and reviewed)
- Input to business capability models, assessments, roadmaps and
technology standards and roadmaps
- Enterprise solution strategy assessments across capability areas
The Enterprise Solution Architect is a key leader in the identification of
risks/opportunities with current technical landscape, generating and
leading the implementation of overarching platform strategies, directing
initiatives to mitigate risk, and assisting with establishing and
maintaining a governance model across the global architecture. This role
will serve as a representative from the Global Architecture team to review
new initiatives and provide architecture guidance and decisions regarding
the viability of components, design and operationalize the landscape, and
participate as required within the Architecture Review Board and
Architecture Technology Governance Council to establish and maintain
standards.
*POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Coordinate solution architecture design, implementation, and
modification activities across delivery teams and key process and
technology leaders in those areas.
- Consult with technology (application, infrastructure) development
projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture, and identify
when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate
project needs.
- Ensure all solution architecture design and analysis work within the
Architecture Definition Document is documented and included in the
architecture repositories.
- Partner with other architects to analyze:
- Enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding change
requirements.
- The IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend
broad-based solutions for improvement.
- Technology industry and market trends, and determine their
potential impact on the enterprise.
- Translate enterprise information architecture (e.g., enterprise
data model, metamodel, common business vocabulary, ontologies and
taxonomies), to guide enterprise solution development and achieve
consistency of information assets across the application portfolio.
- Map enterprise information architecture models to package
application models to determine impact or assess suitability of vendor
solutions to enterprise information architecture.
- "Sell" the architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results to
senior leadership across our client’s business and technology globally.
- Facilitate the execution of the Solution Selection Process with
business solution, data, and technology architects; ensure alignment to
enterprise standard solutions and define new solutions to meet business
capability needs.
- Ensure adherence to the defined IT governance activities associated
with the Solution Selection Policy & Procedure (i.e., architecture boards,
governance councils).
- Identify the organizational (e.g., skills, processes, structures or
culture) and financial impact of the ‘enterprise design.’
- As a member of the Global Architecture organization, act as a key
contributor to the enterprise reference architecture models (creation,
maintenance, governance).
- Partner with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to ensure
alignment of plans with broader enterprise project deliveries.

- Proactively engage with our client’s business and Global IT partners
to identify and define opportunities where the application of information
technology can advance the strategic goals and objectives of our client

competencies and values
*REQUIRED KISLLS*
- Relevant B.A. or B.S. (or higher) degree.
- 5+ years of IT or related experience with B.A. or B.S.; 3+ years of IT
experience with M.A. or M.S.
- 3+ years of experience aligned to a relevant architecture discipline
(integrations, data, services, infrastructure)
- Top Three Must Haves:
- Familiarity with IT Application rationalization
- Significant experience in a Portfolio Architect role
