*Position: Business Analyst with HEDIS*
*Location: Washington, DC*
*Duration: 12+ Months*
*Interview Process – 1st phone / 2nd face to face (No Skype)*
*Background: *The HEDIS Business Analyst will conduct workshops with key
internal and external stakeholders to elicit business requirements. This
person will have HEDIS subject matter expertise and will have primary
responsibility to gather business requirements, write use cases and
functional specifications. In this role, the HEDIS BA will work closely
with the Lead Data Analyst in providing industry-specific business context
in the assessment of data quality issues.
*Required Qualifications:*
- 8+ years demonstrated, relevant experience as Business Analyst
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of the U.S. Healthcare insurance
industry including HEDIS measures.
- Demonstrated strong analytic skills and ability to give specific
examples demonstrating this capability
- Proficient using a requirements management tool such as Req Pro or ALM
- Must have deep knowledge and relevant experience in using various
requirements analysis techniques such as:
- Context Data Flow Diagram
- Entity Relationship Diagram
- Glossary
- Process Decomposition Diagram
- Decision Tables
- Workflow Diagramming
- Use Case Modeling
- User Stories
- Prototyping
- Translate Business Rules into Decision Table Models
- Document “AS IS” and “TO BE” processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of skills to perform data analytics such as
knowledge of SQL queries.
- Demonstrated ability to assess analytics and leverage to make informed
recommendations
- Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication
skills to:
- Produce functional specifications, user interface specifications,
and use cases.
- Strong candidates will be able to:
- Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Manage time effectively
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Working knowledge of U.S. Healthcare Industry
- Working knowledge of HEDIS, Fraud, Waste & Abuse
- Working knowledge of ETL
- Working knowledge of ALM
- Working knowledge of RTM
