Manager – IT Systems Engineering(UI Engineer) Denver, CO/Monroe, LA Phone Hire 6-12 Months Contract *Description of Work:* • Apply user-centered design techniques to design user interfaces for complex Web-based enterprise applications used by CenturyLink customers and employees • Plan and execute usability studies or other research activities that collect user and usability data for continuous product improvement • Work interactively with multiple client organizations to analyze and create customer experience designs • Work in a highly collaborative fashion with your UX Design team peers, with direction provided by our senior and lead staff *Qualifications: * • B.S. degree in Human-Computer Interaction related discipline, such as Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 1 year related work experience -OR- B.S. degree with 3 years minimum work experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or equivalent engaged in the design of highly interactive, and transactional user interfaces, Web-based portals, and/or customer-facing products • Preferred: Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction related discipline • Experience working in Agile/Lean software development methodologies • Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles, practices, and industry standards, and direct professional experience in their application within a highly technical production environment • Excellent communications skills-- both written and oral.
