*Specifically looking for*

   - *VOIP Call Set-up Messages*
   - *Session Boarder Controllers*
   - *Local Number Portability*



*Feedback from client - submissions have worked with SIP and P-CSCF
projects, but mostly in a wireless context. We are looking for candidates
with much more experience with VoIP, SIP and Sonus or Acme Packet/Oracle
SBC's. Wireless experience is good, but alone it's not enough.*

*Job Description:*

Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products. May
evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability.
Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production
is completed in a timely manner. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of
specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related
area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established
guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate
supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.



Just had clarification call with Manager. Requirement Clarification;

   - They want someone that comes from a *Design Engineering background*
   - Even though they are Design Engineers, *they still need to be Hands On*
   - Looking for true engineers that may be one step away from architect
   - Experience with *P-CSCF and SBC is critical to the role*
   - They will be working with the engineering teams to create design
   documents
   - Also will be providing tech support for QA team when they are in

 Key Point to look for;

   - Look for people that have come for competitors *Verizon, Cablevision,
   ATT*
   - Someone that comes from a *really large footprint*
   - Can work as part of a project team
   - Knows SDLC well
   - MS Computer Science or MS Engineers preferable

*Scope:*

Providing Consultation and Business Class Voice projects in the following
tasks –
o Create, update and maintain Detailed Design Document (DDD)
o Create, update and maintain Technical Requirements Document (TRD)
o Proof of Concept
o Open, update and maintain Modification Requests (MRs), if any
o Work with vendors for requirements compliance
o Incorporate new requirements based on Modification Requests (MRs)
o Technical Support to vendors and Quality Assurance (QA) team



*Description:* (This role functions primarily in the sustained engineering
space.) Perform functions for technical architecture, requirements, vendor
management, detailed design for IMS network and equipment designs,
including CPE equipment - IP phones (Polycom), ATAs (Cisco), Enterprise SIP
Gateways (Edgewater, Adtran), P-CSCF/Access SBCs and Broadsoft Application
Servers.Manage ongoing technical requirements and design, QA testing and
certification support, operational support including network
troubleshooting, root cause analysis and defect management and resolution
