Summary
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
the following:
- Sybase Database Development and Database Systems Support; Data
Extraction, Compilation and Analysis Support; Electronic Reporting and Data
Entry Applications Support; Database and Database Systems Support; Data
Dissemination Support; System Maintenance, Modification and Technical
Support.
- With minimum instruction, performs technical work using both standard
and non-standard analysis, design, and programming techniques, determines
customer requirements for the final program or system
- Analyzes problems in terms of such factors as user requirements, input
data and form, output data and form, available computer configuration,
processing turn around time requirements, input and output checking, and
overall problem-schedule requirements.
- Advises the OAI on information technology to help define automation
needs.
- Provide advice on system design configurations, procedural and
technical aspects of automated records, hardware acquisition and
maintenance, and develops and writes suitable source code required for
computer processing.
- This effort will accomplish, but not limited to the following goals
for On-time Performance data:
- Automate processes where feasible in the collection and
distribution of the data
- Migrate all processing of the data into the architecture framework
built in the Sybase IQ database with Web front-end using Crystal Reports
- Creation of improved data quality check reports to help the Data
Administrator more efficiently identify and rectify data quality
issues in
the data
- Develop processes to automate the processing of data
- Data quality reports needed
- Products needed to output
- Processes to automate the dissemination of data
- Processing the data
- Automate tasks within the processing of the data
- Implement Online Analysis Reports for In-Process and
Released/Historical Data developed in Crystal Reports
- Develop code and database structures to generate products and
release data to the Restricted data warehouse
- Monthly ONTIME Data for FAA
- All the tables in ATCR (totally 15 Tables)
- Chronic Delay Reports
- Support creation of DA Web Application to process data, maintain
subject specific support tables, and generate products. Subject specific
support table include:
- ONTIME Airports table
- ONTIME Reporting Carrier table
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in associated discipline
- 2 years of related experience
- 1 + years of direct experience in systems/database analysis and
programming as well as, experience dealing with aviation data collection,
processing, and dissemination is very desirable
- The candidate must have:
- Sybase experience
- Any Sybase IQ 15.x; Sybase Replication Server 15; SAP/Sybase
Power Designer 16.5 is preferable
- The following skills and knowledge are highly desirable:
- SAP Crystal Reports
- SQL
