*Reports Developer (Crystal &Webi)*
MSI is seeking a Reports Developer for our client in the Herndon, VA area.
The Report Developer is responsible for the design, development,
implementation and support of reports working with cross-functional teams,
will gather and document reporting requirements to meet business needs.
Working in a Data Mart environment developing Crystal and Webi Reports,
leveraging requirements to design, develop, test and implement reports and
dashboards that utilize the underlying data stores.
*Responsibilities: *
- Communicate effectively with business groups to gather required
reporting and dashboard requirements
- Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used
to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially
multiple data sources
- Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance
of developed reports and dashboards for both external and internal users
- Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
*Qualifications: *
- Expert in developing Crystal and WebiReports with Data Mart data
- Data Mart environment, strong experience with start schemas, and
ability to re-architect data when needed
- MS SQL Server Management Studio, T-SQL
- Expert at tuning SQL objects (Stored Procedures, Views and Queries)
- Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required
- Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational
and dimensional)
- Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning),
familiarity with complex data and structures
- Experience preparing data for Point-in-Time reports
- Understanding of how to verify the integrity of data and its
history
- Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
- Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software
development life cycle.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly
to changing priorities
