*Summary Notes:*
This is a team of about 9, 3 of which will be working on this project. Must
have great collaborative skills. Manager is looking for someone to focus on
front end JavaScript development (knowledge/experience of backend is fine)
but most recent role should be front end focused. Not interested in
candidates who have worked on front end in the past.

*Required:*
Need to be senior level (5-8 years of experience) Front-end Developer (last
few positions need to be front-end, but its okay if they worked on back-end
in the past)
Should have experience with the latest in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/AJAX.
Including experience with common libraries (jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, etc)
Experience with Adaptive/Responsive Development (Bootstrap)
Plus:
Agile environment experience is a plus, ASP.NET, MVC4, and Razor are all
pluses as well.
Someone with an eye for design and layout is a big plus, there is UX team
that handles the design but having someone who can recognize design nuances
would be a +++++


*Job Description:*Position Summary: The Senior Web Developer develops rich,
interactive user experiences across KBB.com’s desktop and mobile platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the latest in HTML5, CSS3 and
JavaScript, working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, and will
be driven to help push web development initiatives.
Position responsibilities:
• Take an active role in the development projects for the website, both
large and small, throughout the various phases of the project life cycle.
Assess new initiatives to determine the work effort and estimate the
necessary time-to-completion.
• Lead and mentor other team members to develop shared best practices and
development standards.
• Maintain existing code and functionality once it is assimilated into the
ongoing operations of the Web business.
• An interest in sharing knowledge about new technologies with the team and
facilitating the implementation of such technologies across projects.
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and
external customers; gets first hand customer information and uses it for

• Working in an Agile development cycle using advanced Scrum methodologies.

*Essential skills, knowledge and abilities:*• 6+ years’ expertise writing
semantic HTML5/HTML and CSS3/CSS.
• 6+ years’ expertise writing clean, unobtrusive JavaScript/AJAX including
experience with common libraries (jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, etc.) and
debugging tools (Firebug, Fiddler, etc.).
• Expertise with React
• Expertise with LESS and/or SASS CSS preprocessors.
• Expertise with Bootstrap and Adaptive/Responsive development techniques.
• Experience with single page application (SPA) and mobile development.
• Experience with object-oriented coding; version/source control, bug
tracking, and workflow applications/tools.
• Experience with HTML5 APIs (like canvas, local storage, etc.)
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in front-end architecture,
including performance, accessibility and usability.
• Familiarity and comfort with command-line applications and task runners
(like Grunt/Gulp).
• Solid problem solving, technical troubleshooting, and decision-making
skills, as well as excellent communication, initiative and teamwork.
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four
to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
• Demonstrated use of intermediate computer operations (basic programming
in 3rd and 4th generation languages, relational databases, and operating
systems) and intermediate software packages (word processing, spreadsheet,
graphics, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating
and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,
using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute
rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but
uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems
involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
