*Data Analyst Mount Laurel, NJ 6+ Months Contract Max Rate: $35/hr C2C* *SUMMARY:* This position is responsible for creating and analyzing new data and metrics regularly scheduled network capacity reports related to various aspects of HSD (High Speed Data) and HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) Network. This includes, but is not limited to: Subscriber Consumption HSD Speed Tier / Product Impact Analysis Commercial & Residential Services CMTS Utilization DOCSIS Modem Level Analysis including consumption and usage *Job Description: *In addition to this, as required, this person will be responsible for creating and delivering ad-hoc capacity analyses that will require a comprehensive understanding of IP and HFC network and a proficiency using Microsoft SQL, Tableau, other BI tools like SAS and Big Data Analytics tools. *Duties and Responsibilities: *Collect data from Capacity Planning's database infrastructure, compile and analyze data, produce and deliver accurate and complete capacity reports to National teams, Deployment Engineering management, Corporate/Finance and Division Capacity teams per defined schedules. Create and deliver regularly scheduled capacity reports, providing detailed analysis of observed trends and investigating any anomalies discovered. Compile and deliver monthly HSD consumption analysis, at both the national and division levels. Analyze new metrics and changes to existing HSD reporting with DOCSIS 3.1, FTTH, PON technologies. Create dashboards to monitor utilization behavior and changes in service distribution across the network. Maintain historic capacity data and produce utilization and associated forecasts as required. Work closely with the Capacity Planning Development team to automate repeatable processes to improve data processing and reporting efficiencies. *Education: *B.S. in an Engineering discipline, Mathematics, BI technologies or equivalent work experience. *Required Skills:* 5-8 years’ experience in Data Analysis and Business Intelligence realm. Proficiency with Microsoft SQL and database technologies required. A demonstrated ability to create and execute SQL queries, manipulate and analyze data. Proficiency with Excel is also required to be successful in this role. Experience in Capacity planning, network engineering or network operations role with one or more years in a voice/video/data environment is a plus. Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as IP, TCP, Multicast, etc is a plus. Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate (verbal and written) with both team members and management. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment, while demonstrating the personal initiative needed to succeed in such an environment. Must be a detail-oriented person and possess solid organization skills. Scripting / automation skills considered a plus. Creative, self-motivated team player willing to take ownership of tasks assigned and new responsibilities as required. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required.
