********IMMEDIATE NEED *********** Whitehouse Station, NJ *JOB TITLE*: *Data Archival Specialist* * * * * *Summary: ** * Interact with client data architects and assist client's staff in developing a plan to meet desired archiving requirements. Work with the appropriate client personnel to develop the data archival tool configurations, including Access Definitions & data archival tool Request processes) to archive the application’s data. Perform iterative Unit Test and perfect the data archival tool Definitions and Requests to resolve any performance or stability issues that arise during execution. Work with the appropriate client personnel to validate client's ability to use the archived application data and query capabilities for anticipated future requirements *PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * · Responsible for Architecting the Data Archival solution using the leading Archival tools. · Responsible for providing solutions in the area of legacy retirement, ongoing archival using any leading tools · Responsible for providing thought leadership in data conversion and data archival areas. · Responsible for interaction with customers technical team for challenges related to data archival / Information Life cycle management · Responsible for driving reusable component development for data Archival COE · Responsible for creation of knowledge library for developers who can use it during implementation and future projects *ROLE EXPECTATIONS* · Partner with customer’s internal user community to analyze existing systems and solutions, identify areas for process improvement and guide management in the establishment of effective and efficient automated data archival solutions. · Participate in or lead project planning activities, design meetings and architectural reviews, and code reviews for the purpose of designing, architecting, developing and implementing quality systems enhancements for data archival solutions · Design, implement and support database data archival procedures. · Work independently in the absence of supervision. *REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES* · College degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent experience · Minimum 7 years of proven and broad range of Database Archival Solution Architecture · Minimum 7 years of proved experience in a major data archival solution (EMC, IBM, Informatica) · Experience with database & SQL tools. · Experience with SAP and Oracle applications from a Data Archival perspective Experience designing a COE or Shared Services for Data Archival is a plus Thanks!!
