Client is looking for *Java Web Developer – San Francisco, CA*. This is a one year Contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. *Position Description: * Experience Level: 7-10 years technical background and 5-6 years directly related web experience Description: Leads the development and implementation of highly complex internet and intranet applications on one or more diverse platforms. Uses advanced knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Researches and tracks new web technologies, develop service applications, and analyze business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems. Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff. *Minimum Qualifications* Minimum of 8 years of Java/JEE programming experience. (JSP/Servlets, HTML, Springs, JavaScript, JUnit) Proven experience analyzing business requirements with the ability to translate and write technical specifications to design or design applications. Ability to review code and test when necessary. Minimum 5 years of Object Oriented design experience Minimum 5 years of SQL and/or database design Financial / Banking programming experience Ability to work independently and as a member of a high performance team. Excellent communication, problem solving, and judgment skills. Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent understanding of project methodologies. Minimum 2 years of Lead experience. *Technical Skills* 7 years of Java/J2EE experience (JSP/Servlets, HTML, JavaScript, JUnit, Springs, Struts, Hibernate) SQL and PL/SQL experience (ability to write new and understand existing SQL PL/SQL such as stored procedures) Weblogic experience Thorough knowledge of Java core/EE patters and must know what to use and when.
