********IMMEDIATE NEED *********** *10+Years of Microsoft SQL - BI Developer * Location – Nashville, TN Duration – 6 months + *Job Qualifications: * Education B.S degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Hospitality or related experience. Experience · 1-3 years experience with Microsoft BI Solutions (Reporting Services, Excel Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server(MOSS) and/or Performance Point Server). · 2-3 years experience with Data Warehousing environments / corresponding concepts · 1-3 years experience using data structures such as highly normalized data models, Star Schemas and Snowflake Schemas · 1-3 years experience in building Dashboards and integration with Portals like WebSpace and MOSS · Excellent problem solving skills · Excellent at performance tuning BI processes and queries (concepts such as caching, sorting, and indexing) · Excellent SQL programming skills · Excellent relational database knowledge · Familiar with OLAP and multi-dimensional database technologies such as Hyperion Essbase or SQL Server Analysis Services · Familiar with Hospitality industry business models and data is a plus · Familiarity with CRM and Campaign Management solution implementations *Job Responsibilities: * 1. Understands the business questions that users are trying to get answered and translates them into Business requirements. Profiles source system data, identifies data anomalies and proposes data cleansing rules. 2. Cultivates an ongoing partnership with power users in the business, maintaining knowledge of business operations, strategies, information requirements, and priorities. 3. Customizes BI tools to meet user needs. Defines and captures Metadata and rules associated with BI processes. 4. Sets design specifications for end-user semantic layers and multi-dimensional models across BI environments. Identifies user profiles and designs report delivery environment to meet users’ needs. 5. Develops Semantic layer or BI objects for end users. Creates reports and report templates, performance dashboards and Adhoc analysis environments. 6. Develops BI tool training and documentation. Trains users in using the toolset and data. Mentors less experienced BI Developers in these areas. 7. Implements and supports complex BI processes. Troubleshoots BI tool problems and tunes for performance. Adapts BI processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements. Supports client areas in their analytical functions. 8. Proactively identifies opportunities for Information usage. Enables the adoption of performance management practices like Balanced Scorecards, Performance Dashboards and Business Activity Monitoring. 9. Demonstrates a high level of integrity and maturity to work on multiple projects and deliver consistently on time. Escalates issues appropriately to management and project teams. Takes a proactive approach to cross-functional communication. 10. Researches the industry and maintains awareness of hospitality and Business Intelligence technology industry trends and issues, along with new functionality of designated applications. Uses knowledge to suggest to business partners and IT management strategies and improvements to support Gaylord’s differentiation and competitive advantage. 11. Perform other duties as assigned.
