He/she accomplishes this with little guidance, and frequently mentors less experienced ETL Developers. They also serve as project technical leads for mid-sized data integration / data warehousing / data conversion projects. *Key Skills:* · 3-5 years experience with Data Integration and Data Warehousing environments / corresponding concepts · 3-5 years experience in Data Warehousing data population techniques for target structures such as Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and highly normalized data models · 2-5 years experience with JavaCAPS · Must have experience with Java, JMS, XML and Web Services · Excellent ETL staging environment development skills · Excellent at performance tuning ETL processes (concepts such as parallelization, caching, sorting, and indexing). · Excellent SQL programming skills · Excellent relational database knowledge · Excellent problem solving skills *Secondary Skills*: · Comfortable with data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schemas, highly normalized data models), and familiar with data modeling tools such as PowerDesigner or Erwin · Comfortable with physical database administration concepts such as table partitioning, materialized views, and indexing strategies and their role within the Data Warehousing environment. Corresponding experience with relational database management systems such as Oracle and SQL Server *Key Responsibilities:* · Works with business requirements analysts / subject matter experts to identify and understand requirements · Works with data analyst to understand source data systems and data quality issues / performs data quality analysis · Maps source system data to target data models (source to target mappings) · Conducts ETL process design and sizing estimates for mid sized data integration projects by taking into account Change data capture, restartability and data quality error handling · Develops complex extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes · Tests (unit level, integration level, system level, and user acceptance level) complex extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes · Defines and captures metadata and rules associated with ETL processes · Lead mid sized data integration projects and the corresponding small teams of ETL developers Thanks!!
