Under the direction of our Chief Architect, the goal of this engagement is to engineer, configure and stand up a full blown Forefront UAG tech environment and perform a series of tests using various Microsoft and non-Microsoft applications within NYL. In addition, there will also be tests involving integrating Forefront UAG with Siteminder protected web sites with the goal of identifying and understanding the challenges and capabilities. The Security Engineering group provides services and supports engineering multi-tiered applications written in Java and C on Solaris, AIX and Windows platforms. The roles of the Forefront UAG Engineer would entail the following: - Understand existing best practices around Forefront UAG - Possess an expert knowledge of Forefront UAG - Possess a working knowledge of Active Directory - Possess a working knowledge of SUN1 LDAP Directory - Possess a working knowledge of Siteminder - Use Architectural standards, best practices and design patterns that are put in place to secure new/existing applications - Work with the Architects and Engineers, developers, Testers and Service Delivery to design, build, test and deploy applications, services and new infrastructure components. - Provide technical support to testing competency center, operational IT teams, and business applications - Provide debugging leadership and guidance This is a hands-on position, requiring both design and coding skills and strong technical communications. To be considered, the candidate must have at least 10 years significant experience as a security engineer in a formal product development environment. He/She must have implemented successful solutions to a variety of challenges in design and coding, functionality and usability, and optimization.
