*SAP PS Functional Consultant 4-6 Months Contract Los Angeles, CA Details*: Hands-on SAP PS (Project Systems) implementation experience for the duration of this engagement and needs to have an understanding of job costing, requisitions, purchasing, contracts, and knowledge of finance. The candidate will participate and likely be engaged in a project to move a legacy job costing system into SAP. In addition, they may also be asked to work on regular SAP Project Systems and/or FICO support efforts as well. Previous experiences in the following are highly desirable, but not required: Reputable (Big 5) Consulting Practice.
The SAP Functional Consultant will be responsible for requirements gathering, analysis, configuration, and testing for the SAP Projects module. As part of the SAP Center of Excellence, this role will be an integral part in the ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP Project system. This role will own the management of all requirements gathering, analysis, and testing of incoming user requests, including effectively documenting and articulating tactical and strategic requirements to management, business stakeholders, and developers for the purpose of developing solutions for the business units involved. The Consultant will also do the following: Serve as liaison between the business divisions and application development relative to the SAP ERP application focusing on the Projects module (with knowledge of Purchasing and FICO) Interview staff and conduct functional business requirements gathering sessions Participate in primary and secondary research in the identification of solutions to meet business needs Analyze user requests for new capabilities, detail enhancements to existing systems, and new errors as found by the team and user community.
