Data Analyst ETL, Architect Responsibilities: • Assist in the design of data models, operations databases, warehousing architecture and data/system solution architecture. This position will be responsible for the design and development of enterprise data models. • Develops and recommends best practice data architecture, maintenance, and process to create an enterprise data repository assuring the integrity, quality and timeliness of data stores. Under direction of the management, aligns data architecture and design with business needs and strategies. • Facilitates modeling sessions, designs database solutions, advises and contributes to development and system design teams. Participates in project planning to ensure effective use of technology and/or business process to meet customers' needs Experience: • Requires a thorough knowledge of data modeling, process modeling, data warehouse, and data management principles and processes. • Solid understanding of Master Data Management principles and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Strong technical knowledge of data modeling tools, metadata tools, and database design, ETL processes, BI analytics and development strategies, BW, relational databases and ER/dimensional modeling techniques. • Lead the Data Integration process on initiatives to include the following: Participate with requirements gathering, recommend best practices, capture/analyze business needs and customers' strategic information requirements, and define optimum systems requirements to meet these needs. • Develop robust Dashboard designs (functional and technical) for the ETL solution. • Define and create system objects required by the design. Delivers the ETL solution to enable repeatable, error-free transmission of data. • Design, manage, and execute testing with both IT project teams and user representatives. • Adapts architecture to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements. • Manages the administration of the various ETL tools. • Support production systems as required by optimizing performance, resolving production problems, and providing timely follow-up on issues. Performance tune ETL processes. • Focus on data quality and ensure data integrity exist for all ETL solutions. • Documents and communicates all standards. • The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and levels of work assigned and are not necessarily all- inclusive QUALIFICATIONS: • BS or BA in IT, or related field. • Strong Data Services Development experience. • Strong Data Warehouse Experience. • Strong Experience in managing Data Quality. • Experience with Data Warehouse and Software Development Methodologies. • Strong relational and dimensional database skills. • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. • Strong design and technical skills. • Strong communication skills. • Team leadership experience. At least 7+ years experience with data modeling tools and software. Must be able to work as a member of a problem solving Leading team members is a plus. Requires demonstrated experience in developing conceptual, logical, physical and dimensional models; data architecture and data warehousing.
