Should be hand-on with the tool implementation, configuration and troubleshooting. Should have sound understanding of network equipment’s, networking protocols like TCP/IP, SNMP, Netflow, Syslog, IP Addressing schema / subnets, Routing and Switching etc. Ideal candidate should be able to perform following tasks : · Add, change, and remove devices from NPM monitoring · Add or change alerts and thresholds for reporting an alarm · Add or change devices in Network Map · Review incoming traps and syslog · Use event list, reports, node details to investigate issues with monitoring and identify why an alert did or did not trigger · Create standard reports using the report tool · Create custom reports using custom SQL queries inserted into the reporting tool · Update node, interface and volume details in the custom property tool · Research SNMP MIBs and accurately create new monitors for custom OID values · Should be hand-on on managing large telecom/ enterprise network services assurance. · Ability to define Network Performance KPIs required for monitoring and manage IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, Routers, Switches, and other network equipment’s. · Should be able to translate customer needs to technical solutions · Excellent communication skills Best Regards, Rahul Info-Ways Inc.
