*Description:*

Team is looking for 6 mid-level 1st and 2nd level support contractors.
Candidate will be working closely with various locations, specifically Pune
and Singapore. Candidate should have at least 2 years in application
support, should have at least 1 year with ITIL concepts and practices.
Candidate should have working knowledge of a relational database, Sybase
preferred, but the team will take Oracle or MSSQL. Should have working
knowledge of both Microsoft and Unix/Linux platforms, also web services or
messaging interfaces.

Enterprise Solutions Technology (EST) supports a broad range of critical
business functions across the bank and is focused on key initiatives
enabling the firm to compete at the highest level in an evolving business
and regulatory climate. These functions include Market Risk, Credit Risk,
Legal, Finance, Counterparty Risk Trading (CRT), Capital and Liquidity
Management, Treasury, Compliance, and Human Resources. EST has
approximately 1500 staff globally.

Compliance Technology provides technology solutions to the Compliance
business function which enable it to oversee the firm's businesses,
ensuring that they adhere to firm policies as well as securities laws,
rules and regulations to which the firm must adhere.

*Main Function*

Working with a range of Barclays Investment Banking and Wealth services for
Compliance suite of applications, this role involves providing level 1 & 2
support that involves investigating & trouble shooting issues, workarounds,
suggesting improvements or solutions to permanently addressing the issue
and liaising with the development teams to come up with a permanent fix.

*Main Duties*

   - Providing support to our business users
   - Work closely with Level1, Level 2 support resources in New York, India
   (Pune) and Singapore.
   - Provide immediate workaround for all outstanding issues.
   - Interface with development teams for problems that require permanent
   fix and provide suggestions / solutions, where feasible
   - Adhere to the established processes around ITIL
   - Undertake Incident and Problem management as part of the regular work
   - Execute / Participate in the Incident, Problem, Capacity, Change and
   Configuration management activities
   - Participate in the BCM test activities
   - Ensure RTB processes, procedures and environment adhere to Bank’s
   audit and security standards and requirements
   - Help the team leads in producing management reports
   - Collate and analyze data for Capacity Planning
   - Actively identify efficiency improvement opportunities and work on
   service improvement plans

Work with global business IT & projects teams to ensure seamless support
for the business

*Person Requirements*

*Basic Qualifications:*

   - Bachelor’s Degree
   - 2+ years’ experience supporting applications in a global environment
   - 1+ years’ experience with ITIL concepts and best practices
   - 1+ years working knowledge of:
      - Sybase or Oracle or MSSQL
      - Microsoft Windows Server
      - UNIX/LINUX
      - Web Services or Messaging Interfaces

*Preferred Qualifications: *

   - Strong spoken & written communication skills
   - Strong team leadership skills, able to effectively engage the multiple
   parties within IT groups to manage Run-The-Bank deliverables, change and
   BAU activities
   - Ability to understand the business context and respond to users is
   more important over the in-depth technology skills
   - Ability to work under pressure and continue to support users and
   applications
   - Process oriented and able to follow through on all issues raised by
   clients in a timely manner
   - Able to interact and communicate with staff at all levels
   - Basic understanding of the investment banking business advantageous
   - Depending on the service area, additional knowledge of a product would
   be desirable
   - Strong basic technical skills with demonstrated ability to learn in
   order to identify the trouble spots and suggest potential fixes
   - Good team player
   - Business Objects
   - Familiar with ServiceNow
   - SharePoint
   - Strong knowledge of Informatica ETL or Actimize
