We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (*Mobile Software
Developer/Android Developer*) to develop device clients for our exciting
new services. Strong track record of developing and delivering world-class
client side native/Java smartphone applications is a must.
*Qualifications:*
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar technical
degree
• Expertise with best practices for Android development
• Demonstrated experience in Java development and RESTFUL API’s
• Designed, implemented and published Android applications
• Solid understanding of object oriented (OOD / OOP), Agile, and
incremental
development methodologies
• Strong understanding of smartphone technologies, limitations, and
platform
specific differences and quirks
• Ability to negotiate requirements with user interface designers
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
*Preferred skills:*
• Extensive experience developing mobile UI
• Experience developing native mobile applications in Android
• Experience in client-side Web technologies (HTML 5/JS/CSS3) is desirable
• A good understanding of backend cloud services
• Experience working on social networking and/or location-based services
• Experience in Agile software development and the scrum methodology
