The candidate will have a breadth of experience working with application architects and database engineers to optimize application data access methods. *Responsibilities* - Perform hands-on tasks in the development of data marts, views, queries, reports and ETL processes - Assist in the development, architecture and troubleshooting of the database reporting infrastructure - Document reporting environments and processes *Qualifications* - A minimum of 8 years experience with Oracle datawarehouse development - current experience with Oracle 10g - Excellent SQL and PL/SQL coding skills, particularly experience with analytic functions in a Data Warehouse/Reporting environment - Thorough knowledge of Oracle ETL features such as Merge, External Tables, SQL Loader and Pipelined/Table functions - Ability to rapidly develop ad-hoc SQL queries as needed - Must possess a deep understanding of Oracle database concepts, as well as advanced SQL and PL/SQL features and techniques - Excellent communication, problem-solving and teaming skills. Will need to work well with developers, business analysts, and end-users - Ability to work independently from a set of written requirements with minimal direction - College degree in computer science/related fields or equivalent experience - Cognos, current experience with Series 7 and 8 and Oracle Warehouse Builder experience are a plus.
