VB 6 Developer Houston, TX (Galleria) Duration - 6+ months Rate- $40 - $42/-hr The candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting our Facility Records Management system. The application is used to store and retain various corporate scanned documents. Beyond supporting this custom developed application, the candidate will also be responsible for supporting the integrations that this application has to other systems. The application was originally written in VB6, however, there is a concerted effort to migrate the application to .NET. It is essential that this candidate be able to communicate and interact effectively with the business partners responsible for this area. Beyond being a strong developer, the ability to independently gather requirements and document specifications/designs is critical. 1. VB6 programming experience 2. .NET programming skills (VB, ASP, ADO) 3. MS SQL-Server DBMS experience; writing stored procedures 4. ***Very Strong verbal and written communication skills 5. Requirements Analysis 6. Self motivated, results oriented 7. Conceptual understanding of the SDLC 8. Documentation Skills (requirements, specs, designs) 9. Previous experience in Energy/Utilities business 10. Previous experience in Records Management 11.
