*Develop, maintain and support applications and tools used on a managed
desktop platform. Specific duties include but are not limited to:*
* *
· Development, maintenance and support of a Web-based application
· Support and maintenance of custom developed scripts and applications
used by PC Fulfillment process.
· Development, support and maintenance of desktop environment tools.
· Create required documentation including technical specifications,
test plans, work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures.
· Assist with testing and deployment of required hot-fixes, patches and
updates needed to maintain a standardized, qualified and secure desktop
environment.
· Perform forensics and troubleshooting on desktop technical issues
escalated from local site support groups.
· Perform forensics and troubleshooting of desktop application issues
related to configuration, integration with other desktop applications and/or
application dependencies.

*REQUIREMENTS:*
* *
- At least 5 years Information Technology technical experience.
- Extensive development experience in the Microsoft XP environment
creating applications and tools for use by a technical support staff.
- In-depth knowledge and experience using Microsoft Visual Basic, VB
Script, Java scripting, ASP, XML, .NET, SQL Query, and batch files
- In-depth knowledge and experience developing applications for Microsoft
SQL Server and Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS).
*Detailed knowledge and understanding of the following:*
* *
- Microsoft Windows operating systems including Windows 2000 and
specifically Windows XP
- Desktop management practices including registry management, Active
Directory and log-on scripts.
- System build technologies including Sysprep, Ghost, etc.
- Toolsets used for Applications Packaging and Quality Assurance testing
- Experience with the pharmaceutical industry and the requirements of a
research and development environment.
- Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite of productivity tools,
both usage and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a large corporate setting.
- Familiarity with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
