Position: Database Developers Location: Redmond, WA (candidates must be local and immediately available) Duration: 4 months to fiscal year and then extension to full year contract Should have MS experience and experience Performance tuning of 500+ GB databases, T-SQL Code, Stored procedures, SSIS packages Description: This position will be responsible for developing and delivering quality database code and engineering artifacts. Position is accountable for end to end development milestones for OEM IT System development projects. We are looking for Senior Database developer, Candidate should be proficient engineering high volume, mission critical OLTP systems. Expert knowledge in what it takes to tune and optimize 500+ GB relational databases. Candidate must have hands-on experience in development tools, methodologies and also candidate should be adept at working cross-group with other dev, PM and test teams, as our development projects are often coordinated with other teams around the world. Common tasks and responsibilities include: Write T-SQL Code, Stored procedures, SSIS packages Efficient in SQL Performance tuning Create engineering artifacts (HLD, DLD) for assigned tasks. Understand the existing systems, while analyzing upstream, downstream system impacts. Keeping track of the features and bug fixes being deployed Participate in triage meetings Skills Required o Extensive experience in writing T-SQL o Extensive experience in SQL Performance tuning, and troubleshooting SQL Performance issues and fixing them o Good understanding of various disaster recovery and high availability technologies such as database mirroring, log shipping, clustering etc o Good experience in writing SSIS packages. o Good knowledge about developing database solution with SSB (SQL Service Broker) o Good understanding of web applications, and able to troubleshoot UI calls to backend o Good knowledge about XML, .NET technologies o Good communication skills o Passion for quality Preferred o Experience in working with VSTS and VSTS DB Pro o Experience with MOM packages o Experience with disaster recovery setup If you have any queries or questions you can get in touch with me.
