IHS/Apache Administrator with Portal experience
*THIS IS NOT A WEBSPHERE ADMINISTRATOR ROLE. *
Web Administrator THIS IS A 12 MONTH CONTRACT TO HIRE, MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO
CONVERT.
Primary Responsibility: This position requires a minimum of 5 years of
experience in web-tier server administration. Web-Tier servers include Web
servers (Apache, IHS) Load Balancers, Liferay Portal, Alfresco Content
manager, and Single Sign-on servers. The ideal candidate will have a
thorough understanding of all these types of systems deployed on
UNIX(Solaris)/RHEL servers with a focus on advanced troubleshooting and
performance monitoring at the server software and operating system level.
*Responsibilities:*
Provide high-availability support for web-tier systems ensuring uptime
Evaluate new web-tier technologies and supporting software and make
recommendations to enhance the capabilities of existing infrastructure
Recommend best practice solutions for web-tier server technologies
Analysis reporting for the purpose of capacity planning
Maintain technical documentation for duties
Troubleshoot issues on the various web-tier servers running on UNIX
platforms
Participate in the software deployment process (system configurations,
writing automated deploy scripts, etc.)
Provide on-call and after hours support for production environments on a
rotation basis
Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of
expertise
*Requirements:*
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
In-depth web server skill set, with a thorough understanding of load
balancers, single sign on solutions, and HTTPS/SSL communications
Strong UNIX (RHEL and Solaris preferred) skill set with demonstrated
knowledge of low-level operating system command sets and shell scripting
Prior experience working with integration points to middleware solutions
(IBM WebSphere ND and MQ preferred)
Proven problem-solving, change management, and technical planning skills
Experience with Apache, IBM HTTP Servers
Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills

F5 BIG-IP administration
JACL/Jython scripting
Portal (Liferay) administration experience
Demonstrated ability to lead other administrators
