JOB TITLE: GIS DEVELOPER LOCATION: HOUSTON, TX DURATION: Direct Hire Job Description: Our Client is looking for a Senior Analyst to participate in the support of its systems, associated interfaces and bolt-on / peripheral applications used to support the Pipeline Integrity and Engineering & Technical Services groups. *3 to 5 years experience supporting and developing applications and related systems in the oil and gas industry. *Experience with the PODS (Pipeline Open Data Source) data model on an Oracle platform and ESRI GIS tools including ArcSDE, ArcMap, ArcGIS and ArcIMS. *Familiarity with In-Line Inspection Integrity Data Interchange, Alignment Sheet generation packages, spatial synchronization packages and Shape file generation. *Strong database design, management and data import / export skills in Oracle 10g environments. *Participation in the creation and implementation of multiple and varying interfaces in and out of GIS systems. *Experience in the utilization of Crystal Enterprise 10 or XI. *Functional understanding of GIS systems and the ability to use that knowledge to work directly with application users to resolve system / application issues. *Proficiency in Visual Basic .NET in the MS Visual Studio .NET architecture preferred. *Must be customer service oriented. *Analytical thinker able to identify effective and efficient problem resolutions.
