Job Title: Database Administrator Position Type: Contract - W2 Work Authorization: US Citizen / Green Card / EAD / TN Location: Bloomington IL Duration: 12+ Months Rate Cap: Market Start Date: Immediate Project & Requirement Details: * DB2 on z/OS, DBSA, Systems programmer/developer with strong focus on DB2. * Resource would assist in issue resolution, performance tuning in DB2, and design for components on the z/OS platform. * Would also assist in designing the end to end flow of conversion to maximize throughput on z/OS and in DB2. * Strong experience in DB2 on z/OS as a DBA, DBSA, Systems programmer, or Developer with a strong focus in DB2 development. * Strong experience in performance tuning for large scale batch jobs running under DB2. * Previous experience with multiple conversions with source and or target databases in DB2 on z/OS. * Experience with designing complex job flows for large scale data movement. * Source databases include ALLBASE DBs on Hewlett-Packard's (HP) ALLBASE/SQL is the relational database management system (RDBMS) that is tightly integrated with the HP-UX operating systems and HP's PA-RISC architecture. It is a full-featured RDBMS that includes the Interactive/SQL (ISQL) application, as well as database administration (SQLUtil) and performance analysis (SQLMon) tools. It has capabilities for distributed database access and data replication, and it has been implemented at the customer with language pre-processors (C, COBOL, Pascal) for application development. * Target version of DB2 is v9.
