Job Title:                        Avatar QA Engineer

Position Type:                 Full Time

Position Overview:

.         The Avatar QA team is composed of QA Engineers and is responsible
for Quality Control and Quality Assurance for Avatar Products.  This
includes both manual and automated testing. Typically the group performs QA
duties for patches, enhancements and releases as they are finished by Avatar
Development.

 

Job Description:

.         Individual must be capable of independent work in the full
software development life-cycle within a large scale enterprise environment.

.         Primary function is software testing functionality against specs
and documentation.

.         Work with the software development team to improve the quality of
healthcare software delivered.

.         Identify product defects as well as addressing need for additional
product functionality in clear, concise form.

.         When required, build and run automated test scripts to simulate
functional testing.

.         Review Technical Documents generated by the Development team with
ability documentation purposes.  Also independently build documentation for
client use.

.         Provide troubleshooting/problem resolution for client issues when
required.

.         Ability to take initiative & manage multiple detailed tasks in a
fast-paced and ever-changing environment a must.

.         Strong written and verbal communication skills

.         Excellent organizational project management abilities

.         Provide professional technical support to clients emphasizing
customer service


 


Additional Team Duties: 


.         Visit clients occasionally and attend user events when necessary.

.         Provide product usage feedback to Product Management and
Development based on QA experience. 

.         Stay informed of product advancements and relevant state/local
issues.

 

Experience:

.         2-3 years experience in software testing and quality assurance.

.         2-3 years experience in healthcare management,
support/implementation and/or experience with software systems.

.         Knowledge of claims processing and accounts receivables.

.         Familiarity with State and Federal regulatory guidelines a plus.

.         Strong understanding of technology with a natural inquisitiveness.

.         Extensive troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

 

Education:

.         Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
